According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a biometric ignition-interlock helmet system for motorcycles integrating rider authentication and helmet compliance. The system comprises a helmet (101) having a biometric sensor (102) to capture the rider's fingerprint, a wireless transmitter (103) for secure data transfer, and a motorcycle ignition control unit (104) with an authentication processor (105) to verify the biometric data. Upon successful authentication, an ignition interlock mechanism (106) enables ignition; otherwise, the system prevents start-up. Additional features include tamper-proof housing (109), low-power control (110), battery indicator (112), and an emergency override key (111). The invention ensures secure, user-friendly, and safety-compliant motorcycle operation, preventing unauthorized use and enforcing helmet use."
