MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080400 A) filed by Omron Corporation; and Omron Healthcare Co. Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, on Aug. 25, for 'biological signal measurement device and method for controlling biological signal measurement device.'

Inventor(s) include Kubo, Mitsuaki; Koizumi, Masayuki; Wang, Danni; Kimura Ishida, Yui; Fujii, Kenji; and Kawabata, Yasuhiro.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This biological signal measurement device is attached to a user and performs constant measurement of a biological signal. The biological signal measurement device comprises: an ECG sensor that measures an ECG signal on a limb of the user; a pulse wave sensor that measures a pulse wave of the user; and an information processing unit that acquires information related to heart rate variability and information related to an electrocardiographic waveform abnormality on the basis of time series data of the ECG signal obtained by the ECG sensor and time series data of the pulse wave obtained by the pulse wave sensor."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/006329.
