MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073490 A) filed by Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan, on Aug. 1, for 'biological information measuring instrument and biological information measuring method.'

Inventor(s) include Tominaga Jun.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This biological information measuring instrument is characterized by comprising: a receptacle for covering at least a section of a plant leaf; and a sensor for measuring the concentration of water vapor and/or carbon dioxide on the inside and the outside of the receptacle. At least a section of the walls that constitute the receptacle is characterized by being formed of a permeable film having permeation resistance with respect to water vapor and carbon dioxide."
