Inventor(s) include Sil, Samir Kumar; Singha, Achinta; Saha, Partha; Satyaprasad, Akshath Uchangi; and Chakraborty, Anirban.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a biodegradable polymeric curcumin nanoparticles comprising: 0.1 to 1 % w/w of curcumin; 45 to 55 % w/w of a biodegradable polymer; and 45 to 55 % w/w of a natural polymer, on the total weight of the nanoparticle. The present disclosure relates to a method of preparation of a biodegradable polymeric curcumin nanoparticle comprising: a) dissolving 45 to 55% w/w of biodegradable polymer in 1 % v/v of an inorganic acid with stirring until completely dissolved and form a biodegradable polymer solution; b) dissolving 45 to 55 % w/w of natural polymer in a solvent to form a natural polymer solution; c) adding 0.1 to 1 % w/w of curcumin in the biodegradable polymer solution of step a) to form a curcumin biodegradable polymer solution; d) adding natural polymer solution of step b) drop-by drop in the curcumin biodegradable polymer solution of step c) with stirring under condition to form a nanoparticle suspension; e) processing the nanoparticle suspension of step d) by centrifugation under condition to form the biodegradable polymeric curcumin nanoparticle."
