MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043551 A) filed by Daikin Industries, Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on May 5, for 'binder for positive electrode, electrode mixture, electrode, and secondary battery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a binder with which the interface resistance between a current collector and an electrode material layer in a positive electrode of a sodium-ion battery is reduced; and an electrode mixture, an electrode, and a secondary battery which use the same. This binder for a positive electrode of a sodium-ion battery is characterized by containing a copolymer (A) having a vinylidene fluoride unit and a tetrafluoroethylene unit, wherein the content of the vinylidene fluoride unit with respect to all monomer units in the copolymer (A) is 30-99.5 mol%."
