MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018454 A) filed by Offgrid Energy Labs Private Limited; and Offgrid Energy Labs Inc., New Delhi, on March 14, 2024, for 'bilayer current collector for zinc bromine static battery apparatus and method of preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Suresh Subramanian; and Brindan Tulachan.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bilayer current collector (110) for a Zinc Bromine Static Battery (ZBSB) apparatus (100), the bilayer current collector (110) comprises an electrically conductive fluoride-based polymer layer (110A) comprising an electrically conductive filler. The electrically conductive fluoride-based polymer layer (110A) is in contact with a cathode layer. The bilayer current collector (110) further comprises an electrically conductive polyethylene layer (110B) devoid of a fluoride group-containing polymer. The electrically conductive polyethylene layer (110B) is in contact with an anode layer."
