MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124995 A) filed by Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'big data-enabled iot framework for real-time industrial and environmental analytics.'

Inventor(s) include Mrs. R. Kokilapriya; Mrs. K. Dhanalakshmi; and Mrs. V. Lavanya.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a Big Data-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) framework for real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and automated actuation across industrial and environmental domains. The invention integrates heterogeneous IoT sensors, an adaptive edge-cloud fusion technique, a distributed big data ingestion pipeline, and AI-driven analytical models. A novel method, termed Real-Time Multi-Modal Big Data Analytical Method (RT-MMBDAM), enables sensor fusion, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, emission forecasting, and automated response workflows. Mathematical models are incorporated for data fusion, time-series prediction, anomaly scoring, adaptive sampling, and offloading decisions. The invention improves real-time responsiveness, scalability, accuracy, and environmental compliance, while reducing downtime and risk."
