MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117043 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'bicycle seat carrier device.'

Inventor(s) include Naveen Kumar Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle seat carrier device, comprising a rectangular body 101 configured to switch between a seating mode and a luggage-carrying mode, a pair of extendable rods 102 having a motorized C-shaped clamp 103 installed underneath the body 101 for attachment to a rear wheel axle of a bicycle, a microphone 104 installed on the body 101 to receive a user's input voice commands, a motorized hinged flap 105 installed on the body 101, to open to form a backrest like structure upon correspond seating mode, an inflatable member 106 configured with each of the body 101 and flap 105 to provide a cushioning effect to the user and a vibration unit embedded in the backrest, to provide a massage effect to the user's back portion."
