MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117058 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'bicycle mounting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle mounting device comprises of a frame bar 101 to mount onto rear of a vehicle using fasteners and pneumatic pins 102 to carry the bicycle, imaging unit 104 to identify the type of bicycle, a voice integration unit 103 to receive voice commands and provide audio alerts, a lifting rotor 108 for lifting the holding unit 107 and adjusting alignment, a load sensor to detect the total weight of the mounted bicycles and adjusts motor torque accordingly to maintain balance, a T-shaped extendable rod 105 oval-shaped tire slots 106 and pneumatic pins 107a for securing bicycle wheels, a vibration shock-absorbing spring 109 absorbs road vibrations, a weather-resistant cover deployment arrangement 110 deploys a protective cover downward, a retractable motorized roller 111 based on detected hazardous elements, telescopic clamp 107b with a sliding track 107c facilitates loading of heavy bikes and includes locking grooves for positioning."
