MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117071 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'bicycle-mountable speed modulating device.'

Inventor(s) include Naveen Kumar Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle-mountable speed modulating device a cuboidal unit 101 on a bicycle frame, an input means 102 for receiving user commands, a pair of motorized clamps 103 on lateral sides enable attachment and detachment from the bicycle, an L-shaped telescopic member 104 projects from the bottom, positioning adjacent to the tire, a motorized roller 105 is mounted via a ball and socket joint 106 to maintain angular alignment and consistent tire contact, a plurality of pneumatic rubberized blocks to restore smooth rolling conditions, a speaker unit 108 in the cuboidal unit 101 provides real-time audible feedback and a GPS module offers real-time road and terrain updates, including traffic, incline, and hazard alerts."
