MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020076 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'bicycle handle bars and seat protecting device for repairing operations.'
Inventor(s) include Shoyab Hussain; Shivani Sharma; Gargi Chaudhary; and Esheta Tyagi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle handle bars and seat protecting device for repairing operations, comprises a platform 1 constructed with multiple plates 2 connected with each other via multiple motorized hinges 3 utilize in accommodating the bicycle, a pair of C-shaped extendable members 4 installed with the platform 1 via a pair of L-shaped extendable bars 5 to accommodate handle bars of a bicycle, a laser sensor mapped on each of the members 4 for detecting diameter of the handle bars, multiple pneumatic blocks configured within each of the members 4 to extend/retract for gripping the handle bars, a camera 6 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of the bicycle, multiple ultrasonic sensors configured with the plates 2 for detecting evenness of the ground surface, and a set of omnidirectional wheels 9 configured at corners of the platform 1 for allowing the user to move the platform 1."
