MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019330 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'bicycle carriage device for staircase.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle carriage device for staircase, comprising a first platform 1 integrated with multiple primary suction cups 14 positioned over a staircase, a second platform 2 to be adhered on side wall of staircase, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance of each primary suction cups 14, a camera 5 for detecting presence of bicycle in proximity, a pair of plates 6 for deploying unit 7 to lock bicycle wheels on plates 6, an electromagnet attached at free-end of unit 7 for locking with plates 6, a rectangular base 9 attached with pair of motorized clamps 10 via a pair of telescopically operated bars 11 for extending to position clamp 10 in contact with top tube, a double-rack gear arrangement attached between plates 6 and first platform 1 for translating plates 6 towards top portion of first platform 1, a microphone 13 installed on second platform 2 access user's voice command."
