MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097594 A) filed by Purdue Research Foundation, West Lafayette, U.S.A., on Oct. 9, for 'bi-specific adapters and their use with universal car-t cells in the treatment of caix-expressing tumors.'
Inventor(s) include Low, Philip; Chu, Haiyan A; Huang, Bo; Kasireddy, Sudarsan; Singh, Yashapal; Zheng, Suilan; and Srinivasarao, Madduri.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells, bispecific adapters that link the CAR-T cells to carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX)-expressing tumor cells, and methods of treating CAIX-expressing cancer using same."
