MUMBAI, India, April 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311071109 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Oct. 18, 2023, for 'beverage container storage device for beach.'

The application for the patent was published on April 25, under issue no. 17/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A beverage container storage device for beach comprises of a cylindrical body 1 developed to be positioned on sand over a beach, a camera 2 mounted within body 1 for capturing multiple images of container, telescopically operated links 3, each equipped with a C-shaped member 4, installed within body 1 via a circular motorized slider 5 for translating and arranging links 3 as per decoded shape, pneumatic pins 6 installed underneath body 1 to extend and penetrate sand for securing body 1 on sand, a microphone mapped on body 1 for enabling a user to give voice commands for accessing container, a telescopically operated pusher 7 installed at a base portion of body 1 to extend for pushing container out from body 1 and an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light crafted on body 1 to glow in virtue of notifying user regarding expiry of beverage."
