MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611051747 A) filed by Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 23, for 'benzothiazole-fused 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Sahil; Dr. Satyender Kumar; Mr. Ajay; and Dr. Rakesh K Sindhu.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to benzothiazole-fused 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives and a method of preparation. The benzothiazole-fused 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives are represented by general formula (A), wherein R is a substituted phenyl group with R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5, such that R1 is independently selected from a group consisting of H, Cl, Br, CH3, OH and NO2, R2 is independently selected from a group consisting of H, NH2, OH and NO2, R3 is independently selected from a group consisting of H, Cl, Br, CH3, CH2Br, OH and NO2, R4 is independently selected from a group consisting of H, Cl, Br, CH3, OH and NO2 and R5 is independently selected from a group consisting of H and OH."
