MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073934 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'bedsheet tucking device for a bed.'

Inventor(s) include Archana Bhagat; Mayuri Ranjan Sekhon; Krishna; and Chandan Mishra.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bedsheet tucking device for a bed comprises of, a pair of rectangular plates 1, arranged in an L-shaped, attached by a hinge 2 via suction cups for attaching at a corner of the bed, an L-shaped telescopic arm 4 with a suction unit 5 to attach to an upper panel of the bed by a suction force, a pair of L-shaped telescopic rods 8 with rubber- coated clamp 9 at their end, for tucking an end of a bedsheet under a mattress, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 10 to determine a position of the mattress with respect the panel, a weight sensor provided on the plate, to detect a weight on the hydraulic pusher 6, and a speaker 11, provided on the plate to generate an audio alert for a user regarding a reduction of the weight on the bed, if the detected weight exceeds a threshold weight."
