MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012464 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'bearing removing device for workpiece.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bearing removing device for workpiece comprises a U-shaped platform 1 developed to accommodate a rod 10 that is pre-installed with a bearing 11, pair of clamps 4 for gripping rod 10 and bearing 11, touch sensor for detecting placement of rod 10 and bearing 11, artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 mounted on platform 1 processor for capturing images of inner surroundings of the platform 1, pneumatically operated bar 6 arranged on the first 2 portion for extending towards the second portion in order to remove the bearing 11 from rod 10, laser sensor installed inside platform 1 for detecting dimension of bearing 11, expandable pulley arrangement 7 integrated within bar 6 for expanding or compressing to increasing or decreasing size of bar 6 that aids in gripping of bearing 11 for removal, electronic nozzle 8 assembled on platform 1 for dispensing oil inside removed bearing 11."
