MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019714 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'beans soaking assistive device for jars.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A beans soaking assistive device for jars, comprises of a semi-spherical body 1 positioned over mouth portion of a jar filled with beans soaked in water, a computing unit accessed by a user to provide commands for securing body 1 with jar, multiple ultrasonic sensors to detect shape and dimensions of the jar, multiple elongated members 2 configured with primary suction cup 4 to grip jar, a freshness sensor to detect level of food spoilage gases from jar, multiple iris pores 6 to open and allow passage of gases from the jar, a camera 7 to detect exact location of utensil where water is be discarded, multiple telescopically operated rods 8 to grip fixed surface via a secondary suction cup 9 and pair of motorized pivot joints 5 configured between the rods 8 and body 1 to tilt the body 1 and discard water within the utensil."
