MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527065623 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Shenzhen, China, on July 9, for 'beam management method and communication apparatus.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided in the present application are a beam management method and a communication apparatus. The method can be applied to the field of millimeter-wave communications. The method comprises: a communication apparatus 1 performing interaction of a radio frame 1 and a radio frame 3 with a communication apparatus 2 by means of a frequency band 1, wherein the radio frame 1 is used for indicating that a search for a millimeter-wave transmission beam on the side of the communication apparatus 1 is about to start, and the radio frame 3 is used for instructing the communication apparatus 2 to feed back a received index of the millimeter-wave transmission beam; and the communication apparatus 1 performing interaction of a radio frame 2 with the communication apparatus 2 by means of a frequency band 2, wherein the radio frame 2 is used for the search for the millimeter-wave transmission beam on the side of the communication apparatus 1, and the frequency band 1 is smaller than the frequency band 2. Therefore, the present application can execute a search for a millimeter-wave beam in a communication scenario involving a high frequency band and a low frequency band."
