MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527079870 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Aug. 22, for 'beam indication method, apparatus and device, and storage medium.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a beam indication method, apparatus and device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: receiving beam indication information, the beam indication information being used for indicating a unified TCI state of a terminal, and the unified TCI state comprising N sets of TCI states, wherein N is a positive integer; and determining a default TCI state for physical shared channel transmission, the default TCI state being one or more sets of the N sets of TCI states. According to the present disclosure, one or more sets of TCI states are determined as default TCI states from a plurality of sets of TCI states indicated by beam indication information, and channel and/or signal transmission is performed on the basis of the default TCI states, thereby improving the reliability of the channel and/or signal transmission based on the TCI states."
