MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058624 A) filed by Byd Company Limited, Guangdong, China, on June 18, for 'battery tray and battery pack.'
Inventor(s) include Liao, Zhengyuan; Xie, Shifeng; Zou, Wang; Zhang, Xihu; and Wang, Xiaolong.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery pack, comprising a battery tray, wherein the battery tray comprises a bottom plate, two side beams arranged opposite to each other, and two edge beams which are connected between the two side beams and arranged opposite to each other. The two side beams and the two edge beams are respectively connected to a peripheral edge of the bottom plate, and encircled with the bottom plate to form an accommodating cavity for accommodating a battery cell assembly; an explosion-proof valve is arranged on each of the two side beams; an exhaust channel extending in an own length direction is formed in the edge beam; two ends of an inner wall of the edge beam are respectively provided with a vent groove in communication with the exhaust channel; and the vent groove is configured to be capable of being in communication with a gap between the side beam and the battery cell assembly."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 13, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/131366.
