MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024854 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'battery terminal cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery terminal cleaning device, comprising telescopic rod 101 having expansion pulley 102 with plurality of curved overlapping flaps along periphery of pulley 102, plurality of first bristles 104 provided along inner surfaces of flaps for scrubbing lateral surfaces of terminal when expansion pulley 102 is rotated, imaging unit 105, installed on rod 101 for recording images in a vicinity of rod 101 to determine diameter of battery terminal, motorised shaft 106 attached at opposing end of rod 101, shaft 106 is provided with plurality of second bristles 107 for cleaning of upper surfaces of battery terminals, corrosion sensor embedded in rod 101, detects rust on terminal, detects rust on terminal, microphone 108 provided on rod 101 for receiving an audio command from user and touch-enabled display unit 109 is provided on rod 101 to enable user to provide touch input regarding cleaning of upper surface of terminal."
