MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073824 A) filed by Upgrid Solutions Private Limited, New Delhi, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'battery storage box for storing an electric vehicle battery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a battery storage box (200) for storing an electric vehicle (102) battery (104). The battery storage box (200) includes a housing (202) and a first cover (204). The housing (202) stores the battery (104). The first cover (204) covers the housing (202). The first cover (204) is a removable cover. The first cover (204) is characterized by a first surface and a second surface. The first surface of the first cover (204) includes a first cut-off area (210) with a pre-defined shape. The first cut-off area (210) is provided at a first corner (212) of the first cover (204). The first cut-off area (210) includes at least a connector (208) and a plurality of glands (214). The plurality of glands (214) enables routing of a plurality of wires from wire terminals of the battery (104) to the connector (208)."
