MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441038723 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on May 17, 2024, for 'battery pack for vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Vivekanand Pasupathy; Santhoshi Mula; Deepit Ouzu James; Om Prakash Saw; Vivek Vishwakarma; Suhas Math; Kavitha Narasimhalu; and Haris Shaikh.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery pack (100) comprises a battery thermal management system (130) having first and second inlet coolant chambers (132, 134) adapted to receive first and second flows of coolant (F1, F2), respectively, a first outlet coolant chamber (142) arranged on the second inlet coolant chamber (134) and fluidly coupled to the first inlet coolant chamber (132) to receive the first flow of coolant (F1), and a second outlet coolant chamber (144) arranged on the first inlet coolant chamber (132) and fluidly coupled to the second inlet coolant chamber (134) to receive the second flow of coolant (F2). The first and second flows of coolant (F1, F2) are adapted to absorb heat from the first side (112) and the second side (114) of the battery module (110), respectively. The battery thermal management system (130) provides uniform cooling across localized group of cells, battery modules, and the cooling plate."
