MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202417073006 A) filed by Byd Company Limited, Guangdong, China, on Sept. 27, 2024, for 'battery pack composite protective structure and vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Wan, Long; Lu, Zhipei; Peng, Qingbo; Zhu, Yan; and Tan, Zhijia.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery pack composite protective structure and a vehicle. The battery pack composite protection structure comprises a battery pack and a battery protective bottom plate, the battery protective bottom plate comprising a metal plate; the battery protective bottom plate is located below the battery pack, a buffer zone being formed between the battery pack and the battery protective bottom plate; the buffer zone and the metal plate satisfy the following conditions: (I), d is the thickness of the metal plate in mm; s is the tensile strength of the metal plate in MPa; e is the elongation at break of the metal plate; and h is the height of the buffer zone, in mm."

The patent application was internationally filed on May 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/096812.
