MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054384 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 5, for 'battery module.'
Inventor(s) include Hwang, Soon Choel; Kim, Jin Young; Baek, Sang Min; Lee, Sung Won; Shin, Hwang Dong; and Lee, Hae Seok.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a module frame; a plurality of pouch-type battery cells disposed in parallel within the module frame; and a plurality of vent holes formed through one surface of the module frame. The pouch-type battery cell comprises: a battery case including an electrode assembly having an electrode lead, a receiving part that receives the electrode assembly, a short side sealing part which is located at a portion of the circumference of the receiving part and from which the electrode lead protrudes, and a long side sealing portion located at another portion of the circumference of the receiving part and folded toward the receiving part; and a plurality of fixing members attached to the battery case to fix the long side sealing part in a folded state, and arranged to be spaced apart from each other about the longitudinal direction of the long side sealing part. Each of the vent holes may have a larger area of non-overlap with the fixing members than an area of overlap with the fixing members."
