MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617016857 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 16, for 'battery identification device and operating method therefor.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Ko Woon.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery identification device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may include: a communication circuit for acquiring charging data including a voltage value and a capacity of at least one battery; and a processor for extracting reference charging data in which the capacity corresponds to a reference capacity condition from the charging data, and identifying the battery on the basis of the reference charging data and a battery manufacturer identification condition."
