MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004093 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 20, 2024, for 'battery holding plate of a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a vehicle (100). The vehicle (100) includes a body frame (120), a battery storage (226), at least one battery (232), and a holding plate (230). The battery storage (226) is adapted to dispose the at least one battery (232). The holding plate (230) is pivotably secured to the battery storage (226) and adapted to constrain an upward movement of the at least one battery (232) during a closable state (234) thereof. The holding plate (230) includes a front end portion (242F) and a rear end portion (242R). A securing member (244) of the holding plate (230) is pivotally secured to a complementary securing member (246) of a front wall (236F) of the battery storage (226), and engaging members (252) of the battery storage (226) engages with complementary engaging members (254) of a rear wall (236B) of the battery storage (226)."
