MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517070311 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 23, for 'battery diagnostic device and operation method thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery unit diagnostic device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: a data acquisition unit for acquiring charge/discharge data while a battery unit is charged/discharged, wherein the charge/discharge data includes charge/discharge profiles acquired while the battery unit is charged/discharged according to different charge/discharge rates; a profile acquisition unit for acquiring first current-voltage profiles on the basis of the charge/discharge profiles; a profile calculation unit for calculating, on the basis of the first current-voltage profiles, a second current-voltage profile according to a designated charge/discharge rate different from the different charge/discharge rates; and a data calculation unit for calculating capacity-voltage relationship data on the basis of the second current-voltage profile."
