MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517071399 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 28, for 'battery cell tray and battery cell tray assembly.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a battery cell tray and a battery cell tray assembly, comprising: a lower plate having an accommodation part in which one end of each battery cell is accommodated; and an upper plate which the battery cells penetrate, wherein the lower plate and the upper plate can be coupled to slidingly move against each other between a first state in which an opening in the accommodation part is open and a second state in which the opening in the accommodation part is at least partially closed. The battery cell tray and the battery cell tray assembly according to the present invention accommodate, secure, and move battery cells having a curved shape, and may reduce damage to the curved battery cells and the risk of fire during charging and discharging."
