MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544025453 A) filed by Xiamen Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co. Ltd., Fujian, China, on March 20, for 'battery cell, energy storage device, and electrical apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Dongming Jin; and Hepan Xiao.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to a battery cell, an energy storage device, and an electrical apparatus. The battery cell of the disclosure includes an insulating member, a protective member, an electrode assembly, a housing, and an end cap. An edge of the insulating member is provided with a plurality of first bosses; the electrode assembly is disposed on a side of the insulating member; the protective member is arranged along the edge of the insulating member in an enclosing manner and corresponds to an external surface of the electrode assembly, and the protective member is provided with a plurality of first through-holes, wherein the plurality of first bosses respectively pass through the plurality of first through-holes in a corresponding manner to position the protective member; the housing is arranged to surround a side of the protective member that faces away from the electrode assembly, and the housing defines an opening; the end cap covers the opening, and the end cap corresponds to the insulating member. The battery cell provided by the disclosure offers the advantages of enabling more accurate positioning of the protective member to allow the protective member to exert a better securing effect on the electrode assembly, enhancing the structural strength of the edge of the insulating member, reducing the likelihood of housing collapse during vacuum extraction, and thereby improving battery performance."
