MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517088455 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 17, 2025, for 'battery assembly.'

Inventor(s) include Mun, Ji-Seon; and Hwang, Jae-Cheol.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery assembly is disclosed. A battery assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first battery cell which comprises a first receiving part equipped with an electrode assembly, a first sealing part extending forward from the first receiving part, and a first electrode lead protruding forward from the first sealing part; a second battery cell which comprises a second receiving part equipped with an electrode assembly, a second sealing part extending forward from the second receiving part, and a second electrode lead protruding forward from the second sealing part and physically connected to the first electrode lead; and a frame which is positioned between the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead and which has a lead support part for supporting a portion at which the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead are connected."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012652.
