MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055819 A) filed by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited, Fujian, China, on June 10, for 'battery and electronic apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Cao, Weiyi; Liu, Ning; Wu, Hua; and He, Ping.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are a battery and an electronic apparatus. The battery comprises a cell, the cell comprising a casing, an electrode assembly, a post and a bonding member. The electrode assembly is accommodated inside the casing; the casing comprises a first surface provided in the thickness direction of the battery, the casing being provided with a first avoiding opening passing in the thickness direction of the battery through the first surface; the post is provided at the first avoiding opening; the bonding member is arranged between the post and the casing, the bonding member being used for bonding the post to the casing. The post can be at least partially provided inside the casing, and the post can be connected to the outside by means of the first avoiding opening, thus helping to reduce the impact of post specifications on the thickness of the cell, and allowing the cell be made thinner, improving the energy density of the battery."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 11, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/124023.
