MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518091890 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 25, for 'battery and current collector applied thereto, and battery pack and vehicle including such battery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode 5 and a separator interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode wound around a winding axis, defining a core and an outer circumferential surface, wherein the first electrode includes a first uncoated region which is not coated with an active material layer along a winding direction; a battery housing having an open portion on one side to accommodate the electrode assembly through the open portion; a first current collector including a support portion positioned on the electrode assembly, a first tab coupling portion extending from the support portion and coupled with the first uncoated region and a first housing coupling portion extending from the support portion and electrically coupled onto an inner surface of the battery housing; and a housing cover which closes the open portion."
