MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518091131 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 23, for 'battery, and battery pack and vehicle comprising same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a battery, which includes an electrode assembly in which a first electrode and a second electrode as well as a separator interposed therebetween are wound based on a winding axis to define a core and an outer circumference, the first electrode and the second electrode having a first uncoated region and a second uncoated region not coated with an active material along a winding direction, respectively; a housing configured to accommodate the electrode assembly through an opening formed at a lower end thereof and electrically connected to the second uncoated region; a terminal electrically connected to the first uncoated region and exposed out of the housing through a closed portion of the housing located opposite to the opening; and a cap configured to cover the opening of the housing."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 19, 2022, under International application No.PCT/KR2022/001011.
