MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518091347 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 24, for 'battery, current collector applied thereto, and battery pack and automobile comprising same battery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: an electrode assembly having a structure in which a first electrode and a second electrode are 5 wound around a winding axis along with a separator interposed therebetween to define a core and an outer circumference, the first electrode comprising an active material portion coated with an active material and a first uncoated portion not coated with an active material along a winding direction, at least a part of the first uncoated portion being used as an electrode tab by itself; a battery housing in which the electrode assembly is accommodated 10 through an opening portion formed at a side thereof; a current collector including a tab coupling portion coupled to the first uncoated portion and a housing coupling portion extending from the tab coupling portion and electrically coupled to an inner surface of the battery housing; and a cap covering the opening portion."
