MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025450 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'batter-based food preparation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A batter-based food preparation device, comprising a cooking surface 1 associated with device developed to be positioned on a burner wherein surface 1 is utilized for cooking of a batter-based food item, a pole 2 attached with a storage chamber 3 integrated with surface 1 wherein chamber 3 is dedicated towards storage of batter which is dispensed out of a nozzle 4 installed at a base portion of chamber 3 in a regulated amount, an odor sensor 5 installed inside chamber 3 for detecting the smell produced out of stored batter, a base plate 6 hinged with surface 1 that is directed by microcontroller to actuate simultaneously with dispensing of batter via nozzle 4, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 7 integrated with a processor positioned on pole 2 to determine cooking condition of batter."
