MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007857 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'basketball pole installation device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Nagaraj Patil.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A basketball pole installation device, comprises of a C-shaped extendable body 1 to accommodate a basketball pole that is to be installed on a ground surface, a touch sensor positioned on the body 1 for detecting presence of the pole in contact with the body 1, a camera 2 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of the pole, at least five telescopically operated links 3, each equipped with a suction cup 4, configured with the body 1 for gripping the pole within the pole via the suction cup 4, a rotating arrangement 6 and attached with a pin 7 for penetrating the pin 7 within the ground surface, thus stabilizing the body 1 along with the pole on the ground surface, and an electronic nozzle 8 attached with a water chamber 9 for dispensing the water on the ground surface."
