MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024084 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'ball collecting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A ball collecting assistive device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of plurality of motorized wheels arranged beneath the frame 1, a telescopic handle 2 installed over the frame 1 gripped by a user to maneuver the frame 1 over the surface, an imaging unit 3 installed over the frame 1 to determine location of multiple balls over the surface, a pair of telescopic links 4 installed with the frame 1 to extend and position a motorized cylindrical member 5 configured with the links 4 for extracting the balls from the surface and transfer in a chamber 6 arranged with the frame 1, a robotic gripper 7 installed over the frame 1 to grip and transfer the waste within a container arranged with the frame 1 and a speaker 8 installed over the frame 1 to provide notification in view of alerting the user."
