According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Road conditions like potholes and speed breakers create a challenge in providing safety and a comfortable driving experience. The existing navigation system does not provide personalized information based on previously encountered road anomalies. The current project proposes a Road Memory System, which is an intelligent system that can detect, store, and recall road anomalies, thus providing safety in driving. The system can be implemented using a camera-based approach, which can identify road anomalies using image processing techniques. The GPS module can be used to record the exact location of the road anomalies. The system can store the information, and when the driver passes the same road, it can provide timely information on a TFT display. In addition, the system can be implemented using dual cameras on the rear mirrors, which can provide information on blind spots. The system can provide timely information on adjacent lane vehicles. The system can be implemented using a self-updating mechanism, which can provide accurate information on road conditions. The system is offline, which provides a personalized experience, thus being a practical solution in providing safety in driving."
