Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Back Support Attachment System For An Office Chair' Filed by Haworth, Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514004111 A) filed by Haworth, Inc., Holland, U.S.A., on Jan. 17, for 'back support attachment system for an office chair.'

Inventor(s) include Craig Brekke; William Reck; Weston Boerckel; Stephen Simpson; and Mark J. Sherman.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A back support for a chair includes a seat back attachment system that provides efficient shipping and ease of installation. The attachment system includes a seat back and a seat that are mounted on a base. The seat back has a support portion and an attachment portion. The support portion has a forward surface for supporting the back of a user. A locking element is connected between the attachment portion and the base, the locking element locking the attachment portion in place with respect to the base, the locking element capable of toolless attachment to the base."
