MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026100 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'back posture correction exercise device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Preeti Sharma; Dr. Geetika Sharma; Kirti; and Jaspreet.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A back posture correction exercise device, comprising an elongated telescopically operated frame 1 installed with a pair of straps 2 for accommodating foot of a user while sitting in a long sit body posture on a ground surface, a pair of handles 3 are installed with frame 1 via a pair of springs 4 that are to be gripped by user, a computing unit to give input commands for performing back posture correction exercise, a speaker 5 for user to accommodate foot in straps 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 detects distance between foot, a laser sensor detects dimensions of user's foot, a motorized roller 7 tightens strap, a pair of electromagnets configured with each of springs 4 for generating electromagnetic field for compressing and expanding springs 4 in a continuous manner for pulling handles 3 along with user's hands."
