MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124858 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'baby carrying sling.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A baby carrying sling, comprises of a hypoallergenic non-invasive patch 102 embedded with sensors to monitor heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation of a baby, multiple segmented plates 103 with motorized hinges 104 on sling 101 for balanced comfort, adjustable supporting plates 106 on the headrest to maintain proper head positioning, a lock 108 integrated with adjustable shoulder straps 109 to secure the sling 101 on a user, a supporting waist belt 110 to evenly distribute the user's weight, motorized circular plates 111 in the shoulder straps 109 for repositioning based on user posture, a bar aircraft carry-on assembly 112 to reposition the baby closer to the caregiver, a blanket roller 113 with a blanket 114 on sliding panels 115 for covering the baby, a motorized folding arrangement for deploying a mosquito net 202, an AI-enabled camera 116 for monitoring, and a database for storing collected data."
