MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132150 A) filed by IImt College Of Pharmacy, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 26, 2025, for 'ayurvedic herbal composition for enhancing memory and neuronal function and method of preparation.'
Inventor(s) include Nakul Gupta; Pushpendra Jain; Shweta Sharma; and Ravi Rawat.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An Ayurvedic polyherbal composition and method thereof is disclosed for supporting cognitive function, memory, and neuronal health. The composition includes extracts of Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Shankhpushpi, Gotu Kola, Turmeric containing curcumin, Guduchi, Mukta Pishti as a processed pearl-based mineral preparation, and a ghee-based lipid carrier acting as an anupana. The components are formulated into a homogeneous oral formulation and presented in a soft gelatin capsule. The composition reduces oxidative damage in neuronal cells through antioxidant activity, suppresses neuroinflammatory processes, supports neurogenesis and synaptic maintenance, and provides adaptogenic regulation of stress-related neuronal degeneration. The lipid carrier enhances absorption and facilitates transport of herbal constituents across the blood-brain barrier. The composition further demonstrates inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity in vitro. The formulation is intended for supporting cognitive health in individuals experiencing neurological decline."
