MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018022 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'auxiliary arm resting device for four-wheeler vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dhirendra Nath Thatoi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An auxiliary arm resting device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprising a cuboidal expandable body 101 constructed with multiple extendable plates 102, inserted in gap between driver's seat and center console of a four-wheeler vehicle, an extendable rectangular member 103 configured on the body 101 via two telescopically operated rods 104 allows driver of vehicle to rest arm while driving vehicle, an imaging unit 105 mounted on member 103 for detecting said driver's height, an inflatable unit 106 installed on member 103 and connected with an air compressor 107, for providing comfort to driver while resting arm on member 103, a pair of motorized ball and socket joints are configured between rods 104 and member 103 for tilting and inclining member 103 at a suitable angle with respect to position of steering."
