MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621023788 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Feb. 27, for 'autonomous poultry farm management system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An autonomous poultry farm management system, comprises of a body 101 equipped with at least four motorized omnidirectional wheels 102 for autonomous movement within a poultry farming enclosure, an input means to receive user input regarding feeding schedules, egg collection and waste monitoring, a floor layout 201 to identify section location, monitor hen activity, and provide feedback to the wheels 102 for navigation, feeding, cleaning, and egg collection, a drive and navigation module to provide real-time feedback for precise stopping, speed adjustment, a water storage and cleaning unit to clean the floor sections, monitor moisture levels, a waste food collection unit to collect spilt or uneaten food and an egg transfer unit comprising a horizontal guided rail 119, a movable carriage 120 with an articulated link 121 supporting hemispherical vessel 122, to transfer eggs from the body 101 to an integrated egg quality scanning unit."
