MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641018602 A) filed by Bapatla Surendra Babu, Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, on Feb. 18, for 'autonomous microfluidic chemical diode regulator with asymmetric enzymatic gating.'

Inventor(s) include Bapatla Surendra Babu.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a "Chemical Diode" for microfluidic logic. A Hybrid Flux Bias Membrane (200) features tapered micro-pores with Asymmetrically Grafted Polymer Brushes (202) localized to the distal 10-30% of the pore length. Coupled with an upstream enzyme (300), the device autonomously converts chemical signals (acidity) into mechanical gating via hydrodynamic pressure. The asymmetric structure ensures unidirectional flow control (Rectification Ratio 50:1) without external power, creating a passive fluidic transistor for logic-gated diagnostics."
