According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Autonomous Embedded Microscopy System for Real-Time Marine Microorganism Monitoring and Classification This invention describes an embedded autonomous marine microscopy system for long-duration deployment in remote aquatic environments is disclosed. The system enables continuous in situ monitoring of marine microorganisms through adaptive multi-spectrum illumination configured to enhance visualization of transparent, translucent, and low-pigment organisms. Three-dimensional morphological reconstruction is employed to resolve overlapping or structurally similar microorganisms and to improve taxonomic discrimination. The system synchronously acquires environmental parameters including temperature, salinity, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen, which are fused with imaging data to provide contextual ecological analysis. An onboard artificial intelligence inference engine performs real-time genus- or species-level classification and detects ecological anomalies such as harmful algal blooms and invasive species. Renewable energy harvesting supports energy-autonomous operation over extended deployment durations. Embedded data management and low-bandwidth communication enable selective transmission of analytical results and alerts. The disclosed system provides a self-sustaining, intelligent platform for scalable marine biodiversity monitoring with minimal human intervention."
