MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049057 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 21, for 'automobile sub-frame structure, and stiffening component for automobile sub-frame structure.'

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automobile sub-frame structure 1 according to the present invention is provided with a left and right pair of side members 3 which comprise hollow members having a substantially rectangular cross-section extending in a vehicle front-rear direction and which are each provided with a suspension arm linking portion 11, and at least one cross member 5 which comprises a hollow member having a subsequently rectangular cross-section extending in a vehicle left-right direction and which is connected to the side members 3, wherein: the side members 3 and the cross members 5 are connected together by way of curved portions 7; and the sub-frame structure 1 is provided with stiffening components 9 for integrally covering and stiffening the suspension arm linking portions 11a of the side members 3 and curved ridge line portions 7a of the curved portions 7 from the suspension arm linking portions 11a to the cross members 5."
