MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024170 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automatically operated fire pit.'

Inventor(s) include Vishwash Miglani; Prakhar; Shivani Goyal; Bhupinder Kaur; and Richa Mehta.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatically operated fire pit, comprising a frame 1 installed with plurality of hydraulically operated rods 2 at a base portion, motorized omnidirectional wheel 3 for translation of the frame 1 to different places, plurality of rods 4 in a crisscross manner, artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 5 for capturing mages of surroundings for determining children and animals present near to the frame 1, robotic arm 6 for deterring animals and children, electronically operated ignition unit 8 for producing spark to allow logs to catch fire, air blower 9 for dispensing air for burning of the wooden logs, pit cover 10 integrated with an exhaust fan 11 to dispense out smoke during burning of the logs and gas chamber 12 stored with carbon-dioxide gas is dispensed through a nozzle 13 for extinguishing the fire."
